"Edasi is a black metal/drone/psychedelia sorcerer by the name of M. Kleis, hailing from Estonia. We've been transfixed by his unheimlich sacrifices of late, calling to mind an unlikely, hyperstitious amalgam of occult sounds with the bewitching black metal desolation of Wold, the outsider avant-oddness of Ghedalia Tazartes, the alien synth-jazz primitivism of Pekka Airiksinen, and Decimus at his most detached, astral. 'Innocence & Despair' features some really choice bits for the freaks in the metallic resonance and strangulated vocals of 'Path of the Believer', the groaning horror vignette 'Shortcut Through Elf Skull Eye Socket', his churning motorik racket Rather Life Than False Death', and the jarring juxtaposition of loungey chords and larynx-ripping vox in 'Riddle Of Detachment'. Proper end-of-the earth gear, this."
